The Alpe di Siusi with 57 km² the highest mountain plateau in Europe has its deepest point at 1,680 metres and the highest at 2,350 metres above sea level. It lies in the Dolomites of South Tyrol where the east part with the Sciliar and the Catinaccio forms the Sciliar-Catinaccio Natural Park. This world famous alp between Sciliar and Sasso Lungo is one of the most popular winter sports and hiking regions in Europe and attracts in the summer as well as in the winter all sports-minded and recreation-seeking people.
